NetTuesday in Capetown & Safipa events
NetTuesday – Cape Town
NetTuesday is an initiative by NetSquared, an organisation that aims to use the web for social change. NetTuesday is an off line event held around the world to mix, swap stories and ideas, build new relationships, and collaborate to help the local community. NetSquared believes that the social web is key to instituting ( We @startupafrica believe entrepreneurship is key ) social change and works toward this goal by mobilizing individuals and communities, providing Web-based tools, research opportunities and awarding financial support to leverage social action projects.
The first NetTuesday meeting in South Africa is being organized in Cape Town by Marlon Parker. I have also contacted the folks at NetSquared and there are plans underway for a meetup here in Johannesburg.
