Enablis, a Canadian organization that is dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship have launched a competition for entrepreneurs in South Africa, having recently concluded a similar competition in Kenya.

About the Competition
bpc_image_forweb-02The 2009 competition is slightly different from the previous years, this year a complete business plan does not have to be submitted. What i love about this however, the competition does not assume you have access to a PC and the internet, they will also be distributing forms on which to complete your application in certain provinces.

This year for the first time the Small Enterprise Development Agency – the main government agency responsible for small business development — has come on board, joining FNB, Microsoft and Khula Enterprise Finance as the main competition partners.

According to project director Martin Feinstein, who launched Enablis in South Africa, winners will also receive mentorship from alumni of INSEAD, one of the world’s most prestigious global business schools.

“The aim is not just to assist the winners with funding, but to provide finalists and winners with access to a range of support networks and services that will help to take them to the next level. Many people will benefit just by using the competition system to get their raw ideas into a coherent and presentable form.”

To register visit http://www.launchpad2009.biz. The closing date is 18 August 2009

I have registered for the competition and still to submit my idea by 17:00 hopefully however I haven’t paid the fee as yet and have been trying to establish how much is it and I cannot get any response since there is no telephone number to contact the Team but only e-mail address.

Is there anyone who can be of assistance in this regard and also can I be advised if submitting without payment will render my application disqualified even if I make payment let’s say tomorrow?
