I suppose a simple way of putting it would be to say that Ubuntu appeals to a large section of the average Windows users, Kongoni would appeal to a large section of what is currently Mac users. A beautiful and slick distribution, with visuals inspired by the beauty of African nature, on top of a solid, fast and stable BSD-like architecture.
